When these ladies first approached me I was stoked: I'd never used smoke bombs before in my photos and was excited to try! It would definitely elevate this session from a normal grad shoot. They wanted to all stand outside on the roof of the dorm that they had shared for the past few years, so we photograph a bit up there then I ran down to get "the shot" of all of them holding the smoke bombs. The one issue, and you can actually see this in the main image...I left the window open. And after a sudden wind-change all the smoke starting flowing into their dorm. Which naturally set off the smoke alarm and triggered an evacuation of the dorm...worth it though. These shots are epic!
