Church of the Apostles and Raleigh Month host Immerse, an evening of worship intentionally set apart from their regular liturgical Sunday services. This night, I was able to capture a powerful, heartfelt gathering filled with a shared sense of community and passion. I chose a black-and-white aesthetic for some of the more intimate-feeling images because it lent a raw, timeless feel to these moments of expression and connection. From the musicians to the audience, each frame tells the story of unity that is central to the church's mission. I wanted people to see these images and almost hear the music and feel God's presence in the room. This night wasn't just about the event; it was about connecting with God and immersing ourselves in His presence!
